Mrack's Summer: KFC

Today Chandra Sri and I went to KFC. KFC in India is very different then in the US. People love KFC here. The service was sooo bad. There was only a line of about 5 people in front of us and it took us 20 minutes to get to the front and place our order. Then once we placed our order it took another 15 minutes to get our food. The worst part was that we could see all the food ready but the staff was just soooooo extremely slow. KFC is definitely not a fast food restaurant in India, and not advertised as one but coming from the US where KFC is fast food it was amusing to watch. Sri and I spent our time waiting comparing KFC in the US with KFC in India and poking fun at the differences.

At KFC Chandra got the veggie burger and I got a chicken burger. The veggie burger is very popular in India, but I didn’t like it too much, I did like the chicken burger and fries. Instead of serving mash potatoes and gravy with your meal they serve french-fries as a side. Chandra also got a popular drink at KFC called a Krusher, which is a chocolaty drink that is really popular.

The only thing I didn’t like about KFC was that their AC did not work very well so it was so hot. While we were waiting to leave Sri discovered that the only place the AC worked really well was at the front door. So he spent his time waiting holding the door for people.

They also had a really funny survey about their service and a to go menu which I have misplaced. I will try and find it and add it to this post.
