Barbeque Nation

After Dakshin Chitra Chandra and I went to Fisherman’s Cove to have lunch and relax on the Beach.  After hanging out at Fisherman’s Cove we headed to Barbeque Nation for dinner with Sri.  Barbeque Nation is a buffet that has starters which are kebabs brought to your table and grilled in front of you and then a buffet of Indian food and desserts.

There was a festival going on so we couldn’t get through the phone line to make a reservation.  We decided to just show up.  The restaurant was crazy busy!!  We ended up having to wait an hour.  Chandra and I decided to kill time by window shopping at stores nearby.  We went into Sundari Silks and GRT a Jewelry store but all the shops closed at nine so we didn’t have a lot of time to look around.  I cannot believe how popular jewelry is here!!

After window shopping Sak stopped by on his way home from the gym and hung out with us and then we met up with Sri and went inside.  Barbeque Nation was definitely worth the wait.  The service was the best service I have had in India.  They served us so much food and it was all very good.  I got to try Gulab Jamun what I call soggy donuts for the first time here and they were really good, much better then in the US!

As part of the festival the restaurant played music and the servers danced around the restaurant.  It was really random but entertaining to watch.    I tried to take some photos but didn’t get any good ones.
